I use advance filter a lot. For some reason, I cannot get it to return rows based on criteria for column A, which is a number formatted to text. If I choose to filter the invoice number three columns over it returns the filtered rows just fine.

I have a workbook that has several worksheets linked. When the date fields are blank in the orginial worksheet the worksheet they are linked to shows the dates as 1/0/1900, not a blank field. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!

In simple terms Column A on worksheet 1 contains 100 rows of 16 digit tag identities Column A on worksheet 2 contains a list of 21000 rows of 16 digit tag identites from which the 100 on sheet 1 are drawn. Column B on sheet 2 shows

Im trying to find the number of times certain variations of text are within a list. For instance, I need to count the number of Mechanics, with job titles Mechanic, Mechanic 1st6, Trainee Mechanic, Mechanic Lead, Mech. Eng., Me Appr 1st6, etc. Best I can come up with is this:

I'm trying to get the time in a call, and return if this time is ONTIME or LATE The time cell is in" 23:00" cell looks 4:47 This is what I was working on, but I cannot remove the ":" without error to the funtion.

I have a spreadsheet with data that represents mins and seconds i.e. 13:30 = 13 mins 30 seconds. When I try to total the column, Excel thinks 13 represents hours and resets when it gets to 24. I have tried to change the format via Custom/special and time but nothing seems to work ...

I know how to set up a balance sheet but would like to carry forward some information to the next worksheet but without using copy - almost like an automatic update. When i type in one cell it will automatically update in another cell on the next worksheet. hope you can help.
