I have used large Excel workbooks with lots of internal links between cells. I have had to Paste Special into a new workbook when copying a sheet to avoid creating a link between workbooks. I have not understood what caused this; only how to avoid.

for speeding up data entry I want to enter the figures without a decimal point, and have excel make the last two digits decimals. e.g. key in 3925 which will desplay as 39.25. I've done this before but forget how! Its a custom number format I think

When I copy info from a spreadsheet into another (blank) spreadsheet, why doesn't it copy the same format as it was in the old spreadsheet? I do "paste special" but it never comes out quite the same. No doubt I'm doing something wrong :) I just don't know what it might be!!
