      I have data(numbers) from 1 to 10000 in columnA Now I need in
column B the numbers which are divisible by 4, it looks very simple
but I'm finding it hard to get this.

is there a formula that allows you to sum alternate rows (even vs odd) or
similar?  Can this be done with a variation of the "sumif" function?

Does any one out there know how to remove a lot of hard returns from multiple
cells

I’d appreciate help understanding why an apparently simple conditional
formatting is not working as expected.  A group of rows was formatted at one
time but responded erratically to changes in cell entries.  What I did was -

I have a workbook that uses index that have worked well.  I now have to index
and chose a named range based on the value of a cell.  I'm having a tough
time understanding how to get the index to assign the correct range based on
the cell value.

I have a spreadsheet where every three rows alternate between shaded and
non-shaded.
I am using data validation beginning in cell C5.  My list (which is on a
separate sheet) looks like this:

How would I write an IF function to check to see if a cell is in Italics and
if it is make another cell = 0
IF(A1???, B1=0)  Anyone know what to put where the ?s are?
