Scenario:
I have $x currently and want to save up to $y.  What is the formula to tell
me how much I need to save each week for say 1 year to go from x to y given
a standard, fixed variable rate?

I want to do some statistical analysis and probability calculations. my
professor advised me to use spss, which I am totally unfamiliar with. Does
this software offers functions that excel can not perform I prefer to do all
my analysis with Excel which I am used to it.

How can you setup a cell with text and assign a value to that cell so when
you sum the columns, the value computes.  For example, I have a cell contract
terms with a text value of "6 months", how do I setup the cell so it's value

I have a worksheet with 6 columns 300+  rows.  I have a macro that preforms a
a filter, delete rows based on blanks, turn off filter and save as values.  
Now I need to find "GRAND TOTAL:".  in Column A. This is variable.  Once

Does Excel have an equivalent to the Access function NZ?  I want to avoid
having to perform a double VLOOKUP (one to determine if the value is
