I am working on an analysis of responses to a survey. There are 50 questions
which are broken up into 6 sections. I need to provide a subtotal for each
section. The responses are levels of agreement - Strongly Agree, Agree,
Disagree, Strongly Disagree or NA. See the layout below:

I can't seem to make SUMPRODUCT work with a date field as a criteria.
SUMPRODUCT(range="x")*(range="9/1/07")
I would like for the date range to look for "*/5/*"   ie. amy month, any year.

Hi all, is there a way to write a sumif formula where the column of
the data to be summed is a variable?  In cell A1, I have a pulldown
menu of Months.  Across row 2, I have the months Jan-Dec.  I'm trying
to vary the column to be summed based on the month selected in A1.
