I have included 3 "snapshots" below as an illustration, so I hope I am not
in error doing so.?

I am looking for a formula that can calculate the following.
If I had a group of people and £100 I need to allocate it according to
their needs ie.
Person A need £50

The x axis of my chart is frequency in hertz. So I want the numbers to read
1  10  100  1k       100k      1M          
instead of
1  10  100  1,000  100,000, 1,000,000

I am trying to set up conditional formatting so that an absolute value
greater than 3 will change the cell background color to red.  I have tried:  
=(abs(f5))>3 with f5 being the cell location.

I am using vlookup with the following formula:
=VLOOKUP($A2,PROTOCOL,12,FALSE)
Column 12 is a date (01-jan-08).  When the value in 12 is blank, I get
"0-jan-00" returned.  How do  I tweak to keep blank.

is there any simple way to protect or unprotect multiple worksheets at once?

I am creating a log for a business.  I have  "Date Invoice Submitted" in one
column.  The next column is "Date Payment Due", which is 30 days after date
invoice submitted.  Can I formulate this to calculate automatically,
including weekend days?  Thanks for any help!

I am working with EXCEL 2003. I as today someone colored the tab in red. How
did they do that?

I am looking to create a formula which would show me how many times 2
entries appear in the same row of a spreadsheet e.g.

I want to calculate two cells and have the answer showing a negative or
positive answer in another cell

I'm trying to match a UPC # to an Item number on an invoice.  I put the
formula in and it bring up thewrong item number.  I'm not quite sure how to
fix this.  The formula I'm using is
=IF (A20>0, LOOKUP(C20,Sheet1!A:A,Sheet1!B:B),"")

I am using Excel 2007.  When I create a textbox in Excel and write several
paragraphs, what happens is that in a sentence with lots of commas, my text
gets moved to the next row, even though there is plenty of room for some of
the words to fit on that previous line.

I need to be able to find the following patterns within my data -
usually within an entire workbook or worksheet:
Annnn (or B3425 as an example)
A = any letter A-Z

I've got a spreadsheet that tracks a number of inventory categories & values
by month.  The last column calculates the Monthly Change for each row - this
