How to calculate Mean in Excel sheet?
We don't have direct formula for Mean.

Is it possible to reference a cell by its worksheet number, rather
than its sheet name?
For e.g. Sheet1 A1 as "=worksheet(1)a1
I've tried above and it doesn't work. Reason I ask is that I have

I want a formula that looks at another cell, and if that cell Begins
With "NPM" then return "Y".
Is an "IF" statement required, if so how will it read?
If not, what formula will do the job?

I'm not sure the best way to ask the question, but I need a formula that will

I'm trying to count batches of 1's in a column from C4 to C512. Once that is
done I can then move on to the other columns which must be counted
separately.

I am trying to set up a running total of expenses etc, where my first sheet
is a combined running totals, from 4 different accounts, so the rows are

Hello, My workbook contains a worksheet for each day of the month for store
sales. What I want to do is count how many times sales are over a certain
amount for a store.
Example my chicago store daily sales are in cell e22 across worksheets 1

Using Excel 2002 to try to find second largest number from 10 numbers, which
are calculated from the high and low values of the day. Used Large Function
but comes up with error even when I cut down the quantity of numbers.
Example:

I am not more than a casual user of Excel (which is perhaps why I can't

I would like to have a date automatically entered in the footer (which I
know how to do)...but then have it automatically update itself 7 days later.

I use excel to fax and email diffrent worksheets, My problem is when I print
a page I have it sized so it will fit on a single sheet of 8 1/2"X11. Now my
problem, when I fax this from Excel I comes out in multiple pages.
Is there a way to size the out going fax so it will fit on ...

Is it possible to make a range of cells red by default and then turn

I am making a spread sheet where I want to put a name of a person in a cell.
Then I want to make it so when I put the curser over the cell or click on the
cell it brings up a picture of that person.  Can this be done?  How?
