This worksheet is shared for multiple users and is protected so format can not be changed. Need ability to add comments to certain columns with drop down lists. Comment icon is not available when protected.

I am trying to hide many columns in a large Excel file. A dialogue box appears stating: Cannot move objects off sheet. The box prevents me from hiding any columns. All filters, formatting, hidden panes, frozen panes, etc. are turned off.
