Workbook 2 picks up data from Workbook 1.  I type data into 1.  I want
to be able to save 2 with all its data from 1, then go back to 1,
clear it, but without my saved 2 being cleared, then enter more data
into 1 and save it on a new 2.

an active area of a worksheet, but I can't remember it and I'm not finding it
in any of the shortcut key lists.

I am pulling in data using a Vlookup and would like for it to keep the same
