A couple of months ago I designed an Excel file which
links directly to two data tables within an accounting
system via an ODBC link. In MS Query the two data tables
are linked and are filtered before being sent to MS

I am putting together a spreadsheet. One of the cells will
contain the HTTP address for various web resources. As you
can imagine, some of these addresses are really, long and
look like a meaningless, endless line, of garbage!

Can any one help with this one. My son has sent me an Excel file that is
protected and he has forgotten the password. Does anyone know of a way to
unprotect such a spreadsheet. it is a music quiz and the answers are in
hidden columns.

How do I apply the fix for "linked files updated slowly" as described in q248207 to all users, instead of just one at a time?

I have just changed a server which many spreadsheets
linked to for data.  Having named the new server someting
different these spreadsheets can no longer find their

I have tried to fix this problem by searching the net and I can't find
anything - this is a big cockup by MS - why on earth can't you save (or
