I have been developing a workbook in excel 2000 and have somehow managed to link a data workbook to the display file. I need to break this link as other people using the display workbook will not have access to the data files.

Is there a reason why links within the same workbook will not update automatically especially when excel is set to update links automatically? A linked cell will update once double clicked!!! Thank you in advance.

I have a VBA subroutine within an excel spreadsheet which goes through several cells containing links to external spreadsheets and changes the formulas containing those links to point to a different spreadsheet based on the date.
