When emailing an excel workbook with links to other workbooks, the
drive of the linked spreadsheet is being changed.
For example, the attached spreadsheet would be linked to another
spreadsheet in a shared drive, "M:...., but when the file is sent

I need to make some changes to a Workbook A but don't know how many other
workbooks link to it.  I'd like to open the other workbooks before I make the
changes Workbook A so the links don't get messed up.

I have a workbook with links, and I don't want to be asked whether I'd like
to update these, as the Workbook_Open event will open them in any case.
I've set the "Startup Prompt" for this workbook to the bottom (3rd) option,
but I still get asked every time. Any idea why?
