inactive in red, and status "A" for active in green

I have a sheet like a calendar and I would like to highlight the row
coresponding of the current date.
I only manage to highlight the date itself with conditional formating
(cell -> equal to -> =TODAY() )

In a previous post I asked if I could link  to a CSV file and it's been
pointed out that this is not possible.
My problem is that my spreadsheet application  needs the latest data from a
.CSV file which  is downloaded from the web on a regular basis by another

Here is what I need to do:
For each cell in a worksheet I have a dropdown list of minutes whic
can be picked from. I then want to go back to a specific cell and pic
another value which will be added to the value that was originall

Normally, when I select a row and drag the cursor down to select more rows, it scrolls downwards (or upwards) at a normal speed that can be controlled
At times, when working in a file for awhile, when I perform the above action, the scroll takes off at ...

I have just transitioned from XL2000 to XP.  Several cells have a little
green triangle in the upper left corner.  What is this?  Can I decide it's

I'm trying to set an Excel cell format  like I can do in Access to prevent
input errors.
Cell input is 1234-123-1234-123, that's to say, non-sequential numbering but
using 4 numbers dash, then 3 numbers dash, 4 numbers dash, then 3 numbers.

I run Windows XP Home and I have Office 2000 Small Business Edition
installed, which is essentially used for Excel and Word. The problem I have
is when I do a File > Save As, and then I choose the detailed view to be
able to sort the documents, I cannot seem to have the files sorted

We have a user who has created Actuarial Pivot tables for 1999 - 2004.
They use a custom number format to display the data
#,###,_);(#,###,);0_)
The Problem is that by not rounding they get the following results.

In A2 I have, say 121212, and in S2 I have something else, however I'd like
the content of A2 inside the string contained in S2, something like:
c:\\mypictures\\<contentofA2like121212here>.tif
(obviously the <contentofA2like121212here> is A2)

What would be the correct way to discount a negative value...(an expense):
