How can I shut off date autoformatting?  I have a cell that I have to
enter the numbers "02-03" (no quotes), but Excel keeps turning it into a
date.  How can I get around this?  Setting AutoFormatting to None or
setting the cell type to General does nothing.  Any ideas, anyone?

I'm using Excel 2000.  I have used advanced filtering to extract a se
of data from one worksheet to another worksheet.  I now want t
eliminate some of this filtered data to further refine my search.  If

I'm running Win2k SP3, Excel 2000 SP-1 and have created SQL questions
that fetch data from an Oracle 8i DB via ODBC.
Sometimes (or actually quite often) I can't edit the SQL questions in
MS Query. The MS Query icon just flashes in the taskbar and disappears.

When making a pivot table, there is a limitation on the number of row fields
you can have. I really need to have four row fields, but my chart will only
allow me three. What determines the number possible?

I'm having trouble referencing a merged cell in another workbook.
Say I merge cells A1 to C1 in workbook 1. When I make this the active cell,
the Name Box says "A1". When I go to another workbook (say, workbook 2), go
to cell B1, type "=" and then go to the merged cell and select it ...
