How can I add a macro & button that can be clicked on a protected sheet?
this is the macro I would like assigned to a button, also how to keep the
button visible when > Options > View > Objects > Hide all, is selected?

I am trying to format a column, column - A- for example that would be
numbered 1 through 300. It has to always keep this sequence even when the
spread- sheet information is deleted or a new address is added. Help!

I want to program Excel in VB to open an existing Excel file and edit some
custom cells so new updated data for those cells are entered.
Can some help me with some suggestions or codes?

Bit of a newbie to Excel, forgive my ignorance.
I have a very simple spreadsheet containing on average 50 rows, of which the
text is in three different colours in column "A", is there a solution that
can count how many of each colour there is?

I would like to be able to search for a cell with a certain string value?
Then get that cells postions. Is there a way to programmatically to do that?

When I click the black plus mark to autofill a column, instead o
calculating the formula that I entered in the first cell, it repeat
the same answer as in the first cell. How to avoid this?

I am working on a worksheet, and I have a row that contains text that I
want to restrain in length so the text automatically wraps around and
starts a new line within the row.  I've tried "help" in Encel, but I
can't figure how to do this.  I want a wrap around in the row, ...

My Dad upgraded recently to XP--all his previous files
were in Works.  Is there an easy conversion?  I don't
have the ability to "see" his computer, so trying to fix
this issue remotely.

anyway to reset a sheets protection settings to default?

does excel (2002 sp2) have built in option to simplify formulas?

i would like to hide the first 8 rows from the users view, but still have
them visable when the sheets is printed, is this done using split & freeze
panes some how?
