How do I change the default pointer from a cross to an arrow (or whatever else might be available)? My mouse setting in control panel is for default arrow pointer, which appears in other applications.

here goes I have column A, Row 2 which has the date 4/1/04 in it. In column B, Row two, there is a blank cell for a description to be added I have this cell WORD-WRAPPED so it can grow to show the entire description.

Receive "disk full" error message while trying to save/close several files that are open simultaneously. Have more than enough free space on hard drive and have also deleted tmp files. I am using Office XP Pro....any suggestions?

I have a column with mm/dd/yy formatted for dates. When I sort by that column, it will sort by Jan-Dec 2004, then Jan-Dec 2003. I want it to do it by Jan 2004-Dec2003...how can I do this?

Sheet1 has a name in A1 & a number in B1, name in A2 number in B2 and s on (numbers will continually be changed). On sheet2 I used =a or = and so on (the results of =a or =b are the names from sheet 1). Wha I want to accomplish is every time I type =a or =b and the name appear

Can anyone suggest a way of formatting a cell so that when it prints it has a diagonal line from the bottom left corner to the top right, effectively splitting the cell into 2 triangles! thanks for all ideas

I have a problem which is driving me mad. I have tried looking on Microsoft website, but as always, can find no real help. When I open a spreadsheet from my desktop, Excel puts a 1 after the file name, and will only let me save it as a New File.

This is probably a basic question, but here it is anyway. The 1st cell I want start time, 2nd cell finish time, 3rd cell will be the difference in the first to cells in #hours # minutes, or even decimal hours.
