Hello.  i'm trying to edit the a ms excel expense statement/re-imbursement
template.  unfortunately, it's password protected (and nobody at work knows
what it is).  does anyone know of a program that can crack an ms excel
password or know a way of over coming this problem?

A colleague has Excel opening with the column headings as
numbers instead of letters.
Has anyone come across this before?  How did it happen and
how can we change it back?

I get myself into the darndest things.  I have a requirement that calls for
creating a form in Excel that automatically inserts dates which change by
calendar quarter and state.  The user would like to be able to make one entry
and have the form autofill the correct dates ...

One of my co-workers has a workbook that has 1 page that is huge on the
screen (2 screens wide) but prints normal - the problem I have is if I try
to copy/paste the page in to a new workbook it formats out to about 8 pages.
Any way to fix this?

I a new to excel and as a learning project I am makig a list of my movies.  I
would like a formula that would add up the cells with text in them.  There
are some blank cells as seperation for alphabetizing and I don't want to add
those cells in my total.  There aren't any numbers ...

new XP machine I loaded the same 97 Publisher program, but it will not open

I have had a spreadsheet emailed me which has some VB functions included.
I need to look at this code but I see nothing in the VB editor. The
spreadsheet seems to use these custom functions correctly.

I don't use Excel to design the Sistine Chapel; I use it to keep simple
lists and tables, one page per file.  I don't want to save it in the
newest whiz-bang document format every time my boss forces yet another
"upgrade" on me; I want to save it in a backwards-compatible format

If any cell in column D:D contains desired data in string format (  i.e.
"Bill G" ), how would I highlight the data range in that respective row?
Example:
cell d4 contains the text "Bill G". Excel automatically colors the range
