How do I change my text direction to vertical on EXcell?

I have a worksheet with about 200 rows and 60 columns in one sheet and about
half that in another sheet.
The size of the file has become about 25MB!!
It had some word emebeded object (logos) which I deleted and the size only

I have a series of data with two values per date and I want to plot
this as Clustered columns. If I leave out the dates for the X-axis, the
columns are nice & clear, wide enough to see well, but the weeks are
just numbered.

like this:
A is the date, B is the high temp, C is the low temp; D is the average temp

Which options do I have to import a text file to Excel, with more than
200.000 records.

I need to remove the space from the text within a cell.
The column is about 9500 rows long so do I use the find and replace
tool.
