    Thanks to help here, I now know how to set a cell to
    allow the user to select items from a list elsewhere
    in a spreadsheet.  Data->Validation->List works great!
    But now I'd like to expand that.  I want to make that

 Is there a way to count cells which have been formatted? If so, can I
count Blue cells, and then Red cells, then Green cells separately?  Finally,
can I count cells which have been conditionally formatted?
For example:

I know you can insert comments in a cell.
I understand that will leave a red triangle.
Is there a way to insert a message or comment that will not have a red

I have a worksheet that has student numbers in column 1 and then their
15 course requests across columns.  I need to get that information into
a row format that lists their student course requests in rows, i.e.,

Looking at the help and knowledgebase, it seems, that Excel should be able
to open Lotus 123 files.
All I get is "Cannot open Lotus 123 File".
