Excel array formulas drive me crazy. I think part of my brain formed early
under the influence of Fortran (yes I know that dates me).
I have two columns of data named 'Date_In' and 'Date_Out. I want to count
all of those rows in which 'Date_In' is before a certain date ('Then') and

I have a worbook that open fine in Excel 2000.  When opened in Excel 2003,
it pops up a dialog with this error message:
"File error. Some number formats may have been lost!"
I can't seem to find any formats that are gone. But the book has many, many

Hi I am putting in a formula =SUM(week1:week4!A8) because we named our pages
weeks. When I put in the formula it pops up saying something like #NAME!?#  
telling me the name is unrecongnizable...any comments?

how can i keep the first row which is like a label to reappear every
time i do scroll dow the page, so for when i scroll down and i want to
see what is the data then i do not have to go up to see what is from
the top row the label? :(

I'm comparing two columns (A and B) of stock ticker symbols (text

Is it possible that when the spreadsheet is opened it prompts the user
if they want to refresh all.

How can I take a spreadsheet from one worksheet and paste to a new worksheet

Hi, I've merged 2 cells and set 'wrap' text, but I also want the merged cells
to adjust size automatically so I can see all the text. It does it OK when
the cells are not merged, but not when they are. How can I do this?

I have a workbook with 26 worksheets all named by date.
is there anyway i can select all these sheets and have them running in date
order.

I go FORMAT, click CELLS, click NUMBER, click TEXT, click WRAP TEXT as
I usually do but for some reason it does not wrap.
Anyone have a clue?
Maybe I need to turn the machine off and let it recharge...
