I know you can open an .exp file in excell, but if i have a .txt file
can I change it an exp?

Is there a known bug where the solver, in nonlinear mode,
ignores constraints? I'm constraining a decision variable to
be positive and getting a negative answer.

If I right click on the cell I can check it to a number and then to an
mm/dd/yyyy. My question is can I change all the rows to this format is one
shot. I tried to choose the whole column and do a change ...

I have excel 2003.
If I add a row of numbers   1,2,3 I get 6 which is good.
I use a sum(x:y) to get it.
If I insert a row under the 3, the formula does not change.

I'm trying to pull country prefixes for matching countries from the
second sheet that has recurring countries with respective prefix to the
first sheet that is not recurring, prefix for same country in one cell

I am currently working with a large spreadsheet that must be formatted as
"text" or "general" in its entirety, but birthdates that were submitted for
inclusion in the sheet are formatted as custom dates (yyyymmdd).  Is there

I am able to use MAX/MIN functions on cells formatted as Numbers, however
not on cells formatted as Percent.
How can "some" function be used to convert Percent to Numbers so that
MAX/MIN function can be used ?

Lets say B1 contains a formula which will return either a value (Text)
or an empty cell (""). if the returned value is not an empty cell ("")

Using Excel 2000 on Win XP pro and the file excel.xlb is growing each time I
start and close Excel.  The size started at 27kb but is now over 2mb.  I'm
not making any changes when loading and have several add-ins which I think
is normal.

I am working out the difference of two numbers and I would like the
answer to keep a + as well as a - (the minus it does automatically) in
front of the answer, how can I do this.

Hi I have many pivot tables in one file, as I have to refresh every of
them I need to check if the pivot table source is from other pivot
table in my file, so I need to refresh only the main pivot table, or if
data is from database so I have to refresh this particular pivot table.
