When I'm trying to import from an external data source via (Data--> Import
External Data--> Import Data.) I have to navigate for the data sources.
I was wondering if there was a way to make excel default to a directory
other than the "My Data Sources" directory? Can this be edited ...

Is it possible to set the default for the Paste command to 'Paste Text"?
I am copying some text from webpages, and the only way I can put it into a
spreadsheet without copying all the formatting, is to use Paste Special:
Text.  I would like to make this the default for Paste, so ...

I have a Template (to place in the template folder) and a .xls file with
macros (to place in the XLStart folder) to deploy. Is it possible to deploy
thoses files with a setup.bat? The difficuly is to get the template and the

I copied a column of figures from a site to my excel file.
Now when I try to add the columns figure it just shows zero.
When I went to format box it was showing general - so I changed it to
number. Still no change.

I've been working on a payroll workbook, and most everything is working the
way I want it to except the YTD totals. I want to update the YTD cell with
the push of a button (or keystrokes) after the user finishes with the rest
of the values. Help?
