Is there a method (no macro) to prevent that when editing a cell it cannot contains a null (blank) text? I have tried with cell A1 inserting the following formula in Data validation: "=(LEN(A1)>0)" but it does not work.

I have been trying to enter a date; however, excel keeps entering it as the serial number. I have been searching for quite some time on how to enter an invoice date - with no luck. Does excel always recognize a date as a serial number.
