I have a simple spreadsheet which monitors my car's fuel costs, mpg etc.
Each row has 4 cells with input data (date, mileometer reading, litres,
cost) and 8 calculated cells (eg. mpg, cost/mile, pence/litre,12 month
average mpg, etc. etc.).

I am not sure how to finish this nested if
I have 3 columns of data D1, E1, F1 e.g.
I want to check the first character only to see if it is a number.
However, the data is probably stored as text 123 MAIN ST

I've been asked to create a series of spreadsheets that link into one
master spreadsheet.
Each spreadsheet will have a summary column where the users will input
what they want to see on the master spreadsheet.

    I just recently took over as Quartermaster of my VFW Post. Not being a
wizard at using Office is there any templates that I could follow to set my

I am trying to use the function XIRR and it won't work; I get #NAME? as my

I am trying to open and populate an Excel template through ActiveX
controls on our intranet site.
Now although it works, I get this annoying prompt which asks for 'Enter
