Using Excel 2000, my columns are arranged by number and not letters, so that
if I'm trying to create a formula to add cells A5 and B6, I get a #NAME ?
error because it does not see a cell A5 or B6, it sees R5C1/R6C2.  Some way
to change this would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a new Dell PC and was assured I would get Word and Excel on it.
Word is there, but all I can find for a spreadsheet is "Micorsoft Works
Spreadsheet."  Is this a new name for Excel?  If not, is it compatible with

I typicall have 500 rows of data in my columns.  I typically need to

I've turned on filtering and I need to turn on the total

Is there a way to split a sheet, top and bottom, and then to freeze rows
within either or both the top and bottom?  When I split the screen, then
highlight the rows in the top pane that I want to freeze, then hit
freeze, the split becomes the freeze point.  That's not what I want.

I have a financial model I am working on that has about 50 worksheets. When I
added the most recent worksheets, it stopped calculating, or sometimes only
partially calculating results. The same problem happens whether calculation
is set to manual or automatic.
