I hope someone can help.
I have a column of cells.  Each cell contains some text, and then a
number in parenthases, then a comma, and then come text, and then a
number in parenthases,  This repeats probably as many as 5 times,

Hi.  Is there a way to set up a pivot table so it will automatically
update when its source data changes.  It seems that by default, I need
to explicitly tell it to refresh.

I have 4 columns, A1-item, B1-tax, C1-tax, D1- Total. Some items are taxable
on both, others only on 1, is there a way to automatically charge 1 or 2

OK I have two spreadsheets. One spreadsheet (out of stock) shows model
numbers that have been taken out of stock. The other spreadsheet
(stock) shows the same model numbers and a quantity field.
