when I program a link to a file , for example "file:///C:/test.log" in
the cell, I get an pop up warning "Hyperlinks can be harmful to your
computer and data.......". So everytime when I try to open the link, i
need to close all the pop up windows one by one.

I need to import a text file into a spreadsheet. I can do this manually by

I want to view my Excel workbooks in separate windows (I have 2
monitors and want different workbooks displayed in each). Looking
around online it seems the setting to allow this is:
Tools > Options > General > Ignore other applications

When using data filter advanced. How does one filter, when the criteria
wants data from one column only when another column is blank.
I have tried ="=""" for the blank column, but it does'nt work???????

Is there a way to suppress display of procedures in the macro window the
user can run from the Tool menu from Excel?
I can't make the subs private since they are in a general module and called
from worksheet event procedures.

I have a column that contains cells that have either numbers and letters, or
nothing at all, what I am trying and failing to do is add this column, not
the contents of the cells but a total number of cells that actually contain
data, for example if there are 40 cells in a column ...

I have Office pro 2003 oem installed. When using Excel I occasional get a
small green triangle (error notification) appear in some cells.  I know how
to turn off the green triangles via the dropdown menu that appears next to
the cell with the error.
