I have a worksheet with the following columns: Item name, Item type, Item size + some other columns On the second worksheet I have the same columns in diferent order (Item type, Item size, Item name) but at every column I need drop down lists.

I have data spread across two sheets. When I click sheet1 it will occupy the whole window. When I click sheet2, it is the same. I want to see both sheets at one time so that I can see data in sheet1 and side by side the corresponding data for sheet2

If anybody can tell me what the problem is I'd be much obliged. My PC has recently stopped opening xls files when double clicked. I tried deleting personal.xls and then just got an empty window. I could then drag the xls into the window and it would open fine. I then

I am using Excel to get results of a competition where there are 100 results of which the top 50 count for each player. Need the Total of the column to only add the best 50 scores.

I want to sum a column of numbers in another workbook but exclude numbers from my total that have certain words ("batch" and "state") in a corresponding column. So using the table example below my formula would return a sum of 303.

Whilst working in Excel, I quickly dragged the office assistant out of the way to the right, and it disappeared completely off the spreadsheet. I can hear it running, how do I get it back? TIA

I guess this is about formats - I am addicted to coloring cells and rows to catch my attention or to classify data. I dislike the default bright yellow, and usually use red, white and blue BUT some worksheets retain where I was last, and others lose my last point of reference on ...

Somehow the highlight mode is stuck, no matter where I go, the highlight area can be from 1 cell to multiple of cells up, down, sideways from home cell.

I have to enter into a sheet several lines of information but I can't find what the equivalent to the Lotus 123 commands for this in Excel Visual Basic....they would be the down,up, right, and left commands. I thought selection.down would be it but there isn't such a thing. ...

In cell C2 I have a text entry, Installation Complete XA3C. I need to have repeat every 6 rows, in row 8, 14, 20,etc. Not sure how far down it needs to go, as that will be determined as the process is ongoing. Any way to automate entering this entry for possibly hundreds of rows?
