I cannot open Excel - which has business files in there that I need to
access asap for tax reasons!!!!

I have inherited a file which opens with multiple sheets (e.g

This is my first post, so you can clearly see that I am an Excel novice.
I received over 1000 rrithdates in a spreadsheet, coded as dd.mm.yyyy,
e.g. "20.10.1956". Unfortunately, this is one format excel does not
recognize as a date. So it does not assign a number as it usually does.

I'm working with columns with "addresses" which are always constructed
with one or more letters (Or a word) first and then follows a number,
like f.ex.:
X1

I think this is more of a Windows query than Excel but hopefully someone
