after upgrade to off2003, for some users after opening an xl-sheet, the sheet is not automatically recalculated (for other users it does!) we have removed users from active directory and local pc: first problem seemed to be solved, but it returned!

I am trying to select a sheet using xlBook.Sheets("AP-STT(U)").Select as you can see the sheet name has parentheses in it, so excel gives me a "Subscript out of range" error.

Is there a way to format a cell as a condition of an other? Expl. Format Cell A1 if Cell A2 meets certain criteria.

I'm learning macros at the moment and thought I'd venture to write one which I needed myself but I could do with some help, since I spent hours today trying everything that occured to me and searching the internet when I should be studying since I've an exam on macros tomorrow.

I often use excel as a fancy calculator. But often I forget to start the calculator with the = sign. So if I want to add 44 + 66, I forget to type in an = sign first, an it gives me an error message. Is there a setting to turn that off, so I can type in 44 + 66 and it gives ...

I work in a school and we have an excel spread sheet with many ip addresses that have been input into it incorectly. To make it work i need to first find the addresses without the zeros and add them where needed. For example; the need to look like this -172.22.033.010 not like ...

I put in a wrong formula and then I went to the function help and it said to open a blank worksheet, Select the example in the Help topic. I can't find the example in the help topic. Do I open a blank worksheet and then press CTRL +C to opent the examples? I was in the ATAN ...
