I have a spread sheet with columns
D= Weekstart (1/1/2006),  E=weekend1/7/2006, These are to test a range for
each week       and then  I=workday 1/3/2006,   J=hours (4)
I want to sum all the hours by week into F   . All the column data is set up

I'm working with 2 Excel sheets, PLY TABLE and LIBRARY TABLE.
PLY TABLE will allow the user to insert the corresponding data and the
LIBRARY TABLE will display the summary of the data entered in PLY
TABLE.

I have a xml document that i want Excel 2000 to open.  I'm having
difficulties reading the file in, is there a utility/parser built in to
this version of excel?....or will i need to use a 3rd party tool?

I have Excel 2003 and can see all of the text contained within one cell (more
than 1024 charcters) in the formula bar but once I click out of the cell part
of the txt disappears.
I have used Alt+enter to break the text into paragraphs but this doesn't

I almost always use CONTAINS. Can I change the default so that it'll
automatically display CONTAINS as the starting criterion? If so, how? I'm in

I am new to Web Queries and my vb isn't much good either.
I need to go to a specific page enter a string from a list into the
search box on that web page and download the results into excel. I then
need to go to the next string on the list and so on.

If I had invested $10,000 in 1948 and in 2006 I wound up with 4 million+
dollars, how do I figure what percentage my $10,000 made over the 58 years?

I have 1 column of information with over a thousand rows of info. I want to
just delete some info in the cell and keep the rest. Anyone have any idea how

starts. If I click on a spreadsheet file to launch Excel the toolbars
