Critique of code18 Oct 2006 00:28 GMT23
I consider myself a dabbler in Word VBA and a begginer (is there
anything less skilled than that :-)?) with Excel.
With my technical level established, a user in the Word VBA groups
asked how to populate a dropdown field in a Word document with data
More on MAX18 Oct 2006 00:23 GMT4
In a column of data covering several years - e.g. the daily yield of the 30
year bond  - finding the maximum yield figure in hundreds of entries would
be laborious and subject to error; is there a way to get the cell
identification using MAX?  That is, the precise cell ID as in ...

Why are some spread sheets so much larger?17 Oct 2006 23:54 GMT12
We receive one particular spread sheet from a client on a regular basis.
Typically they range in size from 15K - 60K so they don't have much
information in them.  Some of them are over 3 meg in size and take a while to
open.  I can't see any additional data in the worksheets and ...

converts Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheets to the Excel spreadsheet.  I'd like to
upgrade and do not know which one to purchase.

Special Paste Dialogue Box17 Oct 2006 21:03 GMT4
I use the Special Paste options frequently. Is there a simiple way to
open that dialogue box? Such as a hotkey combination or a way to add it

Auto Fill - working as expected?17 Oct 2006 20:20 GMT1
My understanding of the auto fill was that Excel would search within the
active cell's column for a match, then offer the fill.
If there is a blank row between where I am typing and other entries, the
auto fill does not work.

I am using the formula - =COUNTIF(E913:E914,"COR") to count the number of
