I am importing a list of names in column form and would like to tranfer them
into Rows.

I have a spreadsheet set up with a huge list of names, is there a way to
"lock it" and be able to start typing a name, say in the first row and have
it take me right to the correct row with the name? With out using the "edit
-->find feature" which i find very time consumming to ...

How do I get a cell to change to a colour if I type a number in it.
ie type 1 in a cell and then I click off the cell turns to black.

In Excel 2007 when loading a workbook (originally created in Excel 2000),
objects like text boxes, rectangles, etc will frequently be placed on the

Is there anyway of laying out a format in Excel so that typing a paragraph
will cause the paragraph to be broken up into a series of justified lines,
each line having several words in it?

When the users open my Excel/VBA sheet, they met with a window asking if

My users are not that sophisticated... so I would like everything simple for

How come, after all these years and versions of Excel, an option has
not been added that will allow the user to "turn off" the default
conversion of certain text strings to numbers and dates when importing

I run exce l2003. sounds simple & I have done this hundreds of times
but all of a sudden it won't work.
When totaling a column of numbers the formula won't total unless I
double click the formula cell & enter, then it will show the column
