I'm using Excel 2002 and not very good at it yet...lol. So any help would be

I have a spreadsheet where I have a list of people in column G and
corresponding numbers in column H.

Using WindowsXP-Media Edition with Service Pack 2 and Office 2003.
When I choose the "compare side by side" option, my two workbooks appear one
above the other rather than side by side.  Am I missing something??

I would like to filter the data as follows,
The numbers called must be grouped together.

So, some of you may recall the rear end issue with my truck.  I want to
try out the 4WD though.  Is there a safe way to test it so that if it

Please bear with me here, I know and understnd very little about Excel. I
have gleaned and created a few work sheets, [time cards that I morph into
monthly statements for clinets, and monthly + annual gross statements for
myself], pretty simple stuff. I have done this by copying ...

Every time that I open the file "temperature.xls" I would like to have
the worksheet "survey" contained  "raw_data.xls" copied in to the
worksheet "baseline" (contained in "temperature.xls"). Both files are
in the same directory. I've thought about having formulas in each cell

How can I make the first row in my excel document the headers.
Example: change A, B, C to Name, Phone, Address
As I enter additional data I will need the forst row to stay as the header.

I would like to know the best way of find the row number of the last row
containg data in a worksheet.

I have a simple formula =AVERAGE(B2:B37)

I am creating an ASP.NET page to dump data to an excel file.  This
works fine, but when I open the excel file I get an error that says
'the cell data is too large'.  I heard from somebody that excel cells
can hold up to 32,000 character, but can only display 1,024 characters

Is it possible to format a cell where numbers are one color and alpha is
another?  I'm using Excel 2007?
At times it's hard to tell the difference between L's and Ones ( l1 )

I have two columns being utilized as selection criteria A1 and B1. The
same spreadsheet has columns with customer name. address, phone
number, and other summed totals. All this information is on sheet #1
