I'm trying to get the percentage of a count of ID numbers in a Pivot
Table.

When I click on the "close" button on Excel, why does Excel close just
the active window instead of exiting from Excel?  Now, even if I have
just one workbook open, I have to effectively close Excel twice.  Is
there a way to change this behavior?

I am seeing something very strange with some Office-2003 Excel spreadsheets

I'm having a problem getting HLOOKUP to work where my data is on another
sheet and the table array comes before the lookup value. For instance, on
sheet2 I have a list of names in column G and money amounts in column F. So
on sheet1 I coded: =HLOOKUP(Sheet2!"Bob Smith",F12:F20,1 ...

Let me preface this by saying I have limited experience with formulas (and,
frankly, Excel).
I've got two workbooks - ONE logs in time spent on a task for each day of
the year, TWO is a weekly timesheet.

Here's the dilemma:
In each cell of column 1of worksheet 1, I want a formula of the form:
='target worksheet tabname'!A1
In the cells of column 2 of worksheet 1, I have 'target worksheet

I need to merge multiple worksheets in the same workbook. The headers
are same for all the worksheets. The worksheets contain each months
data now i want to merge them in one worksheet and get the entire
years data in one sheet. Each worksheet has auto filter enabled.

on multiple sheets. I have set up a sheet called Cases that has an
index of all the data sheets (i.e. 1, 2, ...) and would like to
iterate through this list and find the maximum values and report them

IS there anyway to convert an excel file into comma delimited file - I
used the Save as and CSV file format, but that didnt help much.
Any other options/ways we can do this.

I have a list, 3,4,6,7,8,10,12. I want to apply a cell format which will
result in months, that is, March, April, June, July, August, October,
December. What should be specified? Thanks

I don't use excel that much but I want to add a scroll bar to excel with a
list of items to pick.  I guess I use a scroll bar.  I've manged to add a
scroll bar but can't find how to add my list.  Do I have to use VBA or is it
simpler than that - can't find any help on help!!

I have forgotten my password for a excel file I created a while ago.  Is
there anyway I can find this out in the background somewhere?

Can anyone advice how I change the font colour for footer text?  I'm wanting
to change it to grey so it's a little less obvious but can't figure out how
