Using AutoFilter11 Jun 2007 17:32 GMT10
I have asked a similar question here awhile ago.
I'm want to AutoFilter a column that contains multiple string data.  If I
use AutoFilter to look for just the bit of the string that is say "A", Excel
returns every row that contains ANY string in the column that contains an A.

I have searched Excel help but I cannot find a way of merging several
rows in an excel spreadsheet.
I was given 15 separate sheets with group lists, some of the people on
group 1 also take part in up to four other groups.
Coverting TRUE to 111 Jun 2007 17:00 GMT2
I have a table containing TRUE and FALSE values. Essentially I want to count
the number of TRUEs, ultimately in a pivot table.
Should I convert TRUE to 1 first, (=IF(A1=TRUE,1,0)(??)   or is there a way
to get a pivot table to cout the number of TRUEs in a category without

Excel 2007 and inverted charts11 Jun 2007 15:33 GMT1
(sory for my language, I'm from Poland)
Why Excel 2007 is doing inverted charts? For instant, please write in
a1, b1, c1, d1 some text (a, b, c, d) and in next column (1, 2, 3, 4)
and do chart. Excel do from 'd' to 'a', not from 'a' do 'd'. Why?
XL file has become read only11 Jun 2007 15:24 GMT6
A file I access every day has mysteriously become read only a couple
of days ago. I looked at the file attributes, but it's not read only
there. I searched here and on other XL ng's, and tried cleaning out
the Temp folder as someone suggested. No joy there. Any other ideas on
Creating a simple text file11 Jun 2007 15:18 GMT1
I am trying to produce a simple text file in Excel that I can save as a text
file which I can then import into another program (ACT by Sage). The list is
very simple, just a single column containing text in each row.
The problem I have is that ACT expects to see each line item ...
Why would this happen with Dates11 Jun 2007 15:10 GMT3
A strange thing happened when I enter a date into a cell.  If I enter
6/1/2007 the date displays 1/0/1900 but inside the cell it shows =6/1/2007.
If I try to remove the = from the cell it then put the = back.
Any ideas as how to why this is happening?
Week Numbers for Tax Year11 Jun 2007 11:38 GMT22
Can anyone post a reliable formula for calculating week numbers in Excel
that relate to the UK Tax year?
I guess week 1 would be the week with 6th April in it, or maybe week 1 is
the first full week after 5th April.  Does anyone know?
Setting Location of Query11 Jun 2007 11:18 GMT1
I used the Microsoft Query Editor to edit queries for different
spreadsheets in my workbook--they all point towards the same access
database. What if I want to point the queries to a different access
database (different ODBC DSN), but query the same table in that
