I teach seniors the fundamentals of Excel when I came upon a problem.  There
are two rows and four columns of data shown in an example problem for the
students to work on as follows:
2001               2002            2003              2004

Hello, I have put the following formula in to try and add figures together

If I open a Excel or Word file from a folder it takes a good 15 seconds for
the file to open. If I start Word or Excel first and then do a file, open,
the file will open instantly. I dowloaded the trial version of Office 2007
after this started with my Office 2000 and 2007 does ...

I would like to show week numbers inside a cell that also contains the date e.g
In cell A1 "01/01/2007 (1)" (1) being the weeknumber for that date, hope
this makes sense, I have looked all over many of MVP website and can not find
a workaround.

These questions are more out of curiosity than anything else.  I have
been experimenting with VLOOKUP with an exact match, and would like
some background to what seems to me to be curious behaviour.
In cells A1:A4 I have

I copied into Word, a property assessors records (Owner's Directory)
online for a given community in Florida.  Then I went into the
indivdual proerty manually  and recorded all sales from Jan 2000 to
current and I updated each line of the owner's diectory by adding 3 to

I am creating a sales order form for my boss. He would like me to have a
drop down box for the customer name and then would like for the customer # to
automatically pop-up in the box below it.
So I am using a VLookup but can't get it to work. I did try reversing it. So
