Every time that I try to change the number format I can only start at 01. I must start my numbering at 0001 and shy of manually typing in every number ( I need 2400) I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help? Thanx.

Dear Clever People, I hope this is not the "silly question of the day". We were wondering (when you have multiple workbooks open and you close one workbook) why are all other workbooks forced to be closed, too?
