a cell should hold 32,000 characters if i am not mistaken. i have a large spreadsheet that has codes, their use, description and the # of times they have been 'hit'. most of the information fits in a cell very easily but i have one description that is huge. i made the cell

I've noticed something wierd and always wondered WHY it happens. When you type a date into a cell, and then change the Formatting of it to a 'general' cell, it turns into a number. How does it come up with that number? What is the significance?

Lets say I have a page of data pretty well filled up. I am in column, e.g., D, and would just like to add a few blank cells between some existing data in this column only. I can't do a Insert a line as that would mess all the other columns also.

Is there a way to force Excel to put a page break after every row that contains something (anything) is the A column of that row. I don't need Excel to put breaks on all the rows, just the ones that have information. Excel 2002

My 2007 excel workbook has several sheets. One of them doesn't allow me to add, delete, or clear content of rows. This means when I right- click on a row, the "insert", "delete", "clear content" is grey out. Same thing when I use the ribbon.

From an Access Query. I've got a list with the unique ID's for reports, and the next field indicates what Language they were written in. This was from a Many - Many relationship in Excel, and many of the reports were written in many different languages.

I've used the IsDate successfully to check if a date within a text box is valid. When you enter the textbox the date is set to todays date and formatted dd/mm/yyyy
