Column 1 contains a list of dates in format DD/MM/YYYY
I want to manipulate this data such that another column shows    MM-YY
based on data in column 1.   The change from slashes to hyphen separation is
required.

im doing a find and replace on some data and once its done its auto
formating the data to a Date field and this is not what i want.
How do i stop Excel from auto formatting the cells?
I tried to set the format and then do the find and replace and it still

My Bureau Chief has an Excel 2003 document that he receives from our
finacial unit.  When he tries to print the document out it shows ###### in
different cells throughout the entire document.  In the past when he used
Excel 2000 he would just double click on the right hand side ...

I use conditional formatting to show me when some conditions need attention
( I'm sure many do this). Problem is this. My colors all changed when I
opened another workbook then went back to the one I was working on. Pink
went to purple, yellow went to avacado and all kinds of ...

I want to use a very light grey color in some of the cells in a worksheet.
RGB(234, 234, 234) should produce the color I want, but:

I realise that this has come up on this group before but I couldn't
find an answer for it. On my computer, selected cells in Excel 2007
are not shaded at all - I'm not saying the shading is faint, there is
literally no shading. See this picture as an example:

I can't think of the formula to sum all the D's in a row.  Please help me
out with this one.

from our SQL server.
When he opens it and refreshes the data it is fine, it pulls the current
data, but when he tries to edit the query, the Query Wizard does not
