Why is it picking multiple columns - Excel 200704 Mar 2008 22:44 GMT2
When I click on a cell, it selects 8 cells. How do I reset it to only pick a
column to work with?

When performing a "Save as" a "Tab (delimited)" file in Excel 2000, cells
contents that contain a comma are automatically surrounded by double quotes
(").

my problem is that I have to do a number of vlookups (exact matches)
on customer codes (which are numeric values). Most of the times, Excel
returns an N/A error, even when it shouldn't, because the code is in

Without using VBA - If cell A1=red, A2=white and A3=blue, can I set C1
to be the value of the selected cell so that if A1 is selected, C1
will equal red, if A2 is selected, C1 will equal white, etc.?

Anyone have any idea why I wouldn't be able to delete rows in a worksheet?
It doesn't seem to be protected for row deletion.
I am selecting the whole row (from the left side of the sheet) & then going
to the end of the sheet to grab the bottom.

sheet.  I've tried by choosing Tools, Protection, Protect Sheet.  Next, I've
checked the sort check box in the "Allow all users of this worksheet to:"

This should be so simple but I cant figure out how to get a Grand Total cell
B16 without naming each sub total cell.  I used 'auto sum' icon to get a
subtotal on b5, b10, b14.  Help lost me on paste functions, math, sum because
I got a sum that included the sub totals as another ...

I have a rather large worksheet that will have hundreds of cells with
conditional formatting. Most of them are the same (only the cells and value
ranges change).
