I have a work sheet with 6 columns the headers of the columns are A=Class Codes,B-F are years 2008,2007,2006etc. can i have excell put a value in a cell as to the column number for the years example for 2008 column 2 for 2007 column 3 and so on.

There is an option of "Distributed(Indent)" for Format Cells/Alignment. I experimented but it did exactly the same as "Center". Does anyone know what else "Distributed(Indent)" can do other than centering?

I don't know why my excel 2003 new worksheet cannot auto calulate formula (eg. summation), i need to press F9 and it will refresh and show the new figure. there is "calculate" word at the left hand bottom of the screen.

If given MTBF and standard deviation can the reliabilty be predicted at a defined operational range using Excels Normaldistribution? say mtbf = 50, sd= 20, then plug in the operating duration. NORMDIST(operating duration, 50, 20, true).
