If I have a formula of five numbers, all of which are being added
together; how do I write a formula in another cell that will subtract
the third number in the previously mentioned formula from a number
that has already been entered into the cell?

I have a spreadsheet which I include a total for square foot for items I
produce.  In a seperate column I include how many days out I was notified of
the order.  Then I have four columns which break out 5 days or less, 6-10

Somewhere in my travels I've click something that prevents opening Excel
files via shortcuts.
Excel opens, but no workbook is displayed. It is necessary to use the MS
Button, naviagate to the file and then open. (Annoying after 5 mins)

mm/dd/yyyy.  I then copied it to Excel 2003 and sorted by date.  For some

I am trying to develop a code which handles copy/cut/paste functions in Excel within a macro.  I am running into problems identifying when the fill handle is being used.  Is there a cutcopy mode or other easy way to identify this?

I know that what I am suggesting sounds like I am "smacked", but logically it
should be possible to sort/filter by the cell color because adding color to a
cell does change the properties of the cell.
My question is has anyone ever done this and if so can you tell me how?

In Win XP I could drag a workbook "xls" icon from a file folder to an Excel
2003 desktop icon and it would open. (Easier than using "Send To")
Now I have Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP-1 with Office H&S 2007 installed and
working fine but I cannot drag as above.

I am trying to copy rows which has minor function. These 5 rows have titles
and a functions displaying items from another sheet. I tried to multiply
(copy) these rows buy dragging the mouse down the sheet, but it makes copies
with the function adding 5 instead of + 1. e.g
