I purchased a Gateway computer and it did not come with
Excel.  It come with a different spreadsheet program.  All
of my data files were prepared in Excel.  I have my old
Excel 5.0 floppy disks from an older computer.  Can I load

I had Excel 97 on an older Compac computer which had
Windows 98 and RAM capacity of 64 MG. I transferred
everything to a new Dell computer with 2plus G or RAM. I
thought the Excel program would be transferred, but only

I can't get excel to display the entire worksheet.  The
tabs to view the are blocked by the task bar on the
bottome of the screen.  I just barely see the tabs.
How do I fix this?

When I open excel application, an error message will pop
up "This workbook is currently referenced by another
workbook and cannot be closed".
How do I remove this error message?

In an MS Excel spreadsheet how does one get a cell to automatically increase
a numeric data when dragged to the right.
For instance if you enter Mon in cell a1 then drag that cell 4 cells to the
right it will display Mon,Tue,Wed,Thurs,Fri.

preferences to autosave automatically every 1 minute and
not to prompt me before saving.  But every time I reboot
the prefs go back to the default of saving every 10

Everytime I open up Excel the Personal worksheet
appears.  After I am working in the file I want and try
closing the Personal worksheet I get an error message.  
This seemed to happen when I was creating some macros

Hallow,
Because I want to install the Microsoft Excel 2000 inside
my computer.  But i will need help about the installing
of that Microsoft.  My computer is Microsoft XP

Error message is: "the file is not in a recognizable
format" The help option tells me to make adjustments via
the file button which I cannot open as Excel failed to
start up. Any advice to resolve? Thanks
