What kind of problelms can I expect when I update to Office
2000, regarding older financial reports and spreadsheets
that may become inaccessible since they are from a much
older fine format.

how can i show the contents of two (or more) cells in one cell?  For example, if i have a column of first names and one of last names, can i write a formula that will pull from the first and last name from each column and put it into one cell?

I have a worksheet in which I can format some columns with data can be
formatted by right-clicking, Format Cells, but other columns with data
will not.  The dialog box for formatting does not appear.
Other worksheets do not have the problem and the Format Cells dialog box

How can I turn off (disable) application collate while
printing. I would like it to be disable as a default. If
anybody knows the answer please let me know. Thanks

Excel cannot save to network.
It is workstaion specific only. User can save to network
on other workstations.

I have created a spreadsheet in Excel, and have set cells
to wrap text automatically.  The problem is that the cells
do not expand vertically to accomodate larger amounts of

I am trying to configure my worksheet to where I can
simply type 6 digits, such as today's date of 101403, and
the worksheet will convert it to 10/14/03.  When I don't
type the forward slashes between the numbers it displays

first time I open excel it says "the last time you open
