a user has an acer laptop. Wen he inputs 12.07 or similar in an unformatted
cell, the cell converts the input into date format rather than retain the

I can only assume that somehow I've created this situation but I don't know
how.

an excel spreadsheet is formatted to fit data into a
printed form.  the file is kept on a network server and
accessed by multiple HP vli8 pc's running win2k and office
xp.  each pc prints to a shared lexmark optra t612 laser.

I have Office 2000 Premium installed on a computer running

try to open a file from Explorer, it locks up the
