I am unable to open a shared excel file.  Others on the
network do not have a problem with this file, and I can
open other excel files.  Any idea why this is happening?

I was working in Excel and suddenly I got a error message:
"APlication Error, generating an aplication error
register. Excel.exe" Exception: Access violating:

When I double-click any xls file, Excel starts but the
file will not open. I can use 'file/open' the open it, I
just can't double click it. Any ideas?

i recently had to recover my system, when i went to re-
install office xp standard it didn't load excel or outlook
or ppt. i tried again to install, it worked but now it
won't let me register the product eventhough i entered

All of a sudden my personal.xls does not load when I start Excel.
What's strange is that if I have a copy of personal.xls (called:  "Copy
of Personal.xls") in my XLSTART folder, the "Copy of Personal.xls" file
does open.
