Thanks Gord for the tip. But tools-Options-General--
Uncheck "ignore other applications" doesn't have any
effect. Excel still opens separate programs for each file.
Are there any registry changes I can use?

When attempting to open my excel document by double
clicking from the my documents window the Excel does not
open. When I open Excel and attempt to open my saved
document on Excel it closes the program. Im not sure if

When I open Excell (2002) I get a small dialog box that says:
Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew
When I click OK on the box, the worksheet opens and appears to behave

I have a custom button attached to a toolbar which when
pressed runs a macro (set up in my personal workbook).
I want to be able to press Ctrl+B (i think 'B' is free) to

I have Office 97 CD from my old computer and I installed
Excel, word and publisher from it to my new computer
runing windows xp pro. After I installed the programs
without problems i tried to open them but didn't work.

I have windows xp, and it is not in my startup or any where on my computer, neither is word or any other office programs. Shouldn't it come standard?? I need to know what's going on or is there some place I am not looking. HELP!!
