I have Excel 2003 and the columns are labeled by numbers
instead of letters. How do I change the view back to

I attemted to update Office from the Microsoft website,
and following this, I can no longer open Excel. I have MS
Office 2000 SR-1 Professional and Win98. Everytime I try

All of my columns have been re-labeled from A,B,C...etc

I have been sent a spreadsheet which I open I Excell 2000. All cells that have been used can no longer have any formatting done on them. If the "format cells" tool is selected (either from the menu or a right click on the cell) the curser just returns to normal and no dialog box ...

The page breaks for a given spreadsheet appear in a
different column when viewed from a Windows98SE client
and a Windows2000 client.
The above version of Excel is installed on both machines.

Can you install Excel 97 on a new machine with Windows XP?

Is there any way to set the default for auto-recover to
off?  I know how to set it on a document by document
basis, but I would like it to default to off.
