I like to open Excel in two separate windows like it is two different programs, that way i can see two different sheets on my dual monitor system. I used to be able to do that , now for some reason it just opens the sheets in windows of the program. What am I smissing?

Here is what I am trying to do. I need to set up conditional formatting to keep track of due dates. I enter a date in a cell, and I want the cell to turn red if it is over a year over due based on "today's" date. Help!

Newbie....... I seem to have misplaced the menu bar at the top of Excel.... the one that says File, Edit, View, Tools etc. I have the icons, but the other bar has gone.

The TASK pane pops up every time Excel starts. I cannot find how to turn it off. I have to go to VIEW, TOOLBARS, TASK PANE, and un-check that selection to make it go away, but it shows up again when Excel starts next time. How to turn it OFF??
